Atlantic Climbing School offers three types of courses:
•
Experience courses are designed for first-time
climbers who want to give rock climbing a try without the
time commitment of a more in-depth course, or for experienced
climbers with a limited schedule. These courses focus less
on instruction and more on the experience.
If rock climbing is just one of several activities you want to experience while on vacation in Acadia, then a half day experience course is a perfect choice. Prepare yourself though
– try it once and you’ll be hooked!
• Instruction courses are designed for those
who are prepared to roll up their sleeves and
learn. These courses focus on specific rock climbing skills and techniques
to improve a client’s skill level and knowledge. We have developed a unique continuum of courses that mirror the progression that many of today’s most skilled and experienced
climbers followed in their own climbing development.
• Guiding courses are specifically oriented towards the experienced climber interested in sampling the local classics but unable to locate a climbing partner.
An ACS guide can provide a safe half or full day of climbing to allow an experienced climber to enjoy the unique climbing terrain Acadia National Park has to offer.
• Bouldering courses
Bouldering is quickly becoming one of the most popular forms of rock climbing. Its simplicity and social nature make it a great alternative. Perfect for people of all ages and ability levels, bouldering is an ideal way to enjoy climbing in its purest form.
-We also offer courses in self rescue, big wall techniques, and aid climbing.
